TEXAS-Team Mates
Prepare To Battle To The Nationals |
|
Two team mates from TLM-Racing
in Dallas Texas were out to practice this past Sunday at
Eagles Canyon Raceway as they prepare for their first run at
the NASA Nationals. Ken Scheepers, driver of the #17 and
Jay Carley, Driver of the #5 chased each other around the
track Sunday Morning. From the second floor balcony, it
looked like these two we racing for the championship. Ken
Scheepers, who is an 8 time winner of the coveted Wally in
his drag racing career, was able to hold off the five year
veteran and 2006 Regional Road Course Champion, Jay Carley
lap after lap. Ken, currently the points leader, holds a 15
point lead over 2nd place Jay in the regional PTC class.
Two weeks from now the two team mates will battle each other
again at Hallett Motor racing Circuit. http://www.tlm-racing.com/ |

Freedom
This month we
celebrate our nation’s birth . There will be
many different approaches to the method of
celebration. The focus, however, will be about
freedom. We here in this land tend to take this
for granted from time to time, until something
happens which reminds us freedom costs. This
fourth of July take time to appreciate the many
little benefits we sometimes forget. There is
another freedom I want to mention. This is a
freedom which no one can take away. In John
8:31-32 we read; “ If you continue in My word,
then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you
will know the truth, and the truth will make you
free.” Free from what? I’m glad you asked! This
is freedom from the bondage of sin. This bondage
comes in many forms; worry, fear, mistrust, ill
feelings towards others, etc. If these remain
long enough they will cause health problems
prematurely and sometimes bring an early death!
I encourage you to take time this month to
“continue in God’s Word” . I guarantee it will
be time well spent! Michael
